About Us
| Projonmo is an Assam-based non-profit organisation. It works with children and young people developmental support needs. It also works with their families, schools and communities. Projonmo looks beyond whether a person receives a service. It asks whether the support helps the person communicate, learn, move, manage daily routines, build relationships and become more independent. Projonmo began as an inclusive education initiative in 2012 and became a registered organisation in 2013-14. Inclusive education means children with and without disabilities learning and taking part together. Over time, Projonmo has expanded into therapy, school readiness training, remedial learning support, caregiver support, community work, referrals to other services, support to access government benefits, and small livelihood pilots.
