Capacity Building

NET has established a partnership with Dhwani Foundation and RNBA to launch Organizational Development (OD) cohorts for partners in Manipur and Assam. This initiative is designed to bolster regional collaboration and improve organizational development in these areas. As a leader in developing OD practices and systems within nonprofit organizations, Dhwani is collaborating with NET to enhance the capacity of partner organizations.

Strategy Meet

The NET steering committee, alongside Mr. Annat Bhagwat from Bridgespan, convened for a two-day vision-setting session. Although NET had been engaged in numerous activities, a collaborative vision setting exercise with a well-defined action plan was essential to enhance its operations and establish a clear direction. By the conclusion of the sessions, the committee successfully formulated specific goals.

Annual General Meeting

The North-East Together Network (NET) held its AGM 2025 on October 6-7 in Guwahati, attended by over 60 civil society organizations. The meeting aimed to approve the NET Roadmap 2035, improve governance and membership structures, and explore new collaboration opportunities with government, CSR, academia, and development partners.

North East Edit

The region faces a lack of knowledge sharing platforms, limiting collaboration among organizations. NET has promoted cross-state and cross-sector learning to improve community impact by conducting workshops and discussions. In collaboration with the SeSTA NODE Program and Axis Bank Foundation, NET organized Northeast EDIT to showcase the work of local CSOs to funders and donors in Mumbai.

Cross-Field Visits to Identify NPOs in Various States

Members of the NET steering committee, visited Manipur and engaged with numerous NGOs to gain insight into their operations, challenges, and successes in their respective areas. These visits fostered cross learning and enhanced our understanding of the diverse organizations.

Flood Relief in Arunachal Pradesh

In June 2025, the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh experienced severe flash floods near Miao and Bordumsa. In response, local collaboration and national solidarity emerged, with Bethel Life Care Charitable Trust, supported by Ashraya Hastha Trust and partnered with Rera Welfare Society, launching a humanitarian effort facilitated by the Northeast Together Network.

Exposure Visits

Members of NET traveled to Nagaland to participate in the Tamenglong Orange and Naga King Chilli Festival on December 4, 2025, organized by fellow NET member PESCH. The collective use such exposure trips not only reinforce the connections between the organizations but also provide a valuable platform for sharing best practices and innovative solutions to shared challenges.

Connections

NET has facilitated connections between partner organizations and SAATHIYA, a career development organization. This initiative aims to support these organizations in understanding alignment and engaging in conversations with institutions. The collaboration is designed to empower young individuals by equipping them with the essential tools and guidance needed to pursue fulfilling careers.

Donor Connections

NET member organizations were linked with donors and we have facilitated field visits for them. These visits provided donors with the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of their contributions and the commitment of the involved organizations.

OD Partners

NET member organizations are referred to and connected with institutions for organizational development (OD) capacitybuilding. Notable programs include NODe by Sesta, Drishte and Niranthar by Dhwani, Root to Branches OD building program, and NFI’s incubation program. NET facilitates these connections, ensuring its partner organizations have access to essential capacity building programs.
