About Us
| Jubayer Masud Educational & Charitable Trust (JMECT) is a grassroots, community-based organisation established in April 2008 in Assam in memory of Jubayer Masud. The organisation was founded with a vision to improve the lives of children, adolescents, women, and vulnerable families living in underserved and flood- and erosion-prone communities.
Over the years, JMECT has evolved from a small community initiative into an established development organisation working primarily in Bongaigaon and Barpeta districts of Assam. Its major areas of intervention include early childhood care and education (ECCE), remedial education, child protection, adolescent and youth development, women’s empowerment, livelihood promotion, and disaster resilience. |
