Brief History Rural Organisation for Social Service (ROSS) was established in 1991 with the objective of promoting the social, economic, educational and cultural development of disadvantaged and rural communities in Assam. For more than three decades, ROSS has worked with vulnerable and marginalized communities, particularly women, children, youth, persons with disabilities, tribal communities and economically disadvantaged families. The organization has implemented community-based initiatives in areas including livelihood promotion, women and youth empowerment, education, child development, community health, disability inclusion, vocational training, environmental protection and social awareness.
