About Us
| Jeevan Shiksha was started in 2017 and works with marginalised communities in Assam and Uttarakhand. In Assam, the organisation works with Adivasi tea garden communities. In Uttarakhand, it supports the Van Gujjar community, including families living in settlements with limited access to healthcare and education. Jeevan Shiksha began with education through community learning centres and community libraries. Its work has since expanded to mental health, livelihoods, menstrual and maternal health, nature education, sports, cultural activities and access to government services. During COVID-19, the organisation also provided medical assistance, food, ambulance services and relief in flood-affected areas.
