About Us
| AMAN Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in April 2021 in response to the challenges faced by vulnerable communities during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. It was formally registered under the Trust Act on 10 November 2021. Based in Kalgachia, Barpeta, Assam, AMAN works primarily with underserved and marginalized communities in the riverine areas of the Brahmaputra and Beki rivers, locally known as Char/Chapori.
AMAN’s work focuses on Education, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Disaster Resilience, with a strong emphasis on community participation and locally led solutions. Through the AMAN Education Program, the Foundation works to improve learning opportunities for children and youth, particularly first-generation learners. |
