About Us
| North Star Club is a community based non-profit organization working on Health, Education, Livelihood and Disaster Management with a vision of 50 years to realize an “Epidemic free disaster resilience society” in the north bank of Upper Brahmaputra River Basin. The Organization started in a community donated land through mobilizing support from the community in terms of bamboo and labour as well as a little disposition fund from government department. North Star Club focuses on organizing the communities, promotion of rural sustainable livelihood, ensuring adequate infant and maternal health, promotion of rural enterprises and disaster management. Now North Star Club registered as a trust under trust registration act 1961. The supporting organizations are mainly;
Building the capacity of poor marginalize and oppressed section of society especially those affected by natural disasters and the disabled in rural areas of Assam with Dhemaji , its focus .It shall work on issues that promote economic development, environmental consciousness ,child development, health and education and ensure the rights of people through processes that advance gender equity and self- reliance. |
